TREKKING

The St Evasio Way

26/27 September 2026

St. Evasio Way – From Asti to Casale Monferrato

Spend two days trekking through the rolling hills of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, along a route that blends nature, history, culture, and the authentic flavours of the region.

26–27 September 2026

A two-day trekking experience through the UNESCO-listed hills of Monferrato, following an itinerary that combines nature, history, culture and the authentic flavours of the region.

26–27 September 2026

Guided throughout by Paolo Urbinati, Certified Environmental Hiking Guide (Guida Ambientale Escursionistica).

Late September is one of the best times to explore the Monferrato on foot. The air becomes cooler, the light softer, and the hills begin to take on the first colours of autumn, creating landscapes of remarkable beauty.

The Cammino di Sant'Evasio retraces the historic connection between Asti and Casale Monferrato, linked by the figure of Saint Evasio, a 4th-century bishop and martyr who is the patron saint of Casale Monferrato. The route winds through vineyards, historic villages and rolling hills, following paths and quiet country roads that invite you to discover the Monferrato at a slower pace, far from traffic and the bustle of everyday life.

The walk ends in Casale Monferrato during the city's Wine Festival, one of its most anticipated annual events, celebrating the area's outstanding food and wine traditions.

A weekend to slow down, enjoy the pleasure of walking and discover the beauty of the Monferrato.

Between valleys and farmhouses

Circular Hiking Route

This trekking starts and returns to Vignale Monferrato crossing four different valleys that drag the walker into the heart of Monferrato nature. Halfway along the route you come across a peasant museum, created with meticulous patience by its curator (who also runs an excellent farmhouse with a kitchen), a sort of marvel of the peasant world of the early 20th century. Not to be missed!
